Alicia Long, RN, MEP-C has a vast knowledge of the ever-changing industry of medical aesthetics. Training with the highest-level nurses and physicians all over the world allows her to ensure you receive the most innovative, safe, and effective procedures.

 

Alicia has a passion for making connections and long-lasting relationships with her patients. She believes that by building a personal rapport she can effectively deliver customized results. By mastering advanced techniques and pursuing continuing education Alicia is always delivering the safest and most comfortable procedures. Alicia believes that the aesthetic world is a balance between art and science. While being an expert in the fundamentals of injections she also has a keen eye for harmony within the face and brings true artistry to her practice.

Alicia earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Saint Mary’s College of California. Health and Wellness have always been a part of Alicia’s life and integrating aesthetics was a natural fit. After moving to Texas in 2008 she began her journey in nursing on the Medical/Surgical unit at Brackenridge Hospital. Her transition into aesthetics allows her to live every day with passion in pursuit of happiness for others.

Alicia has a thorough understanding of facial aesthetics. She is considered a leader in aesthetic injections and was personally picked to be an AMI trainer/Educator for Allergan, Inc., the makers of BOTOX® Cosmetic, JUVEDERM®, Voluma® Vollure® and Volbella®. This entails training doctors and nurse injectors on how to improve their injection techniques. Only those providers who have shown the highest level of expertise and demonstrated a true understanding of facial anatomy and aging are chosen for this program.

Alicia also holds a CANS certification, where it's supported by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and it provides professional recognition for aesthetic nurses who hold the value of education, clinical practice, and professional growth in the highest regard

 

The Certified Aesthetics Nurse Specialist (CANS) Examination is designed to help ensure the safety of individuals undergoing nonsurgical aesthetic procedures by measuring the registered nurse's knowledge and ability. 

 

Experienced aesthetic nurses can also choose to become a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) through the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board. This certification professionally distinguishes you as an aesthetic nurse who values clinical practice, education and growth.
