Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) facial therapy, aka Liquid Gold, is a process in which we use a guest’s own blood cells to generate healthy facial skin cell activity. The client’s blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge to separate the blood from the plasma, which is rich in platelets containing growth factors. The platelet-rich plasma is then either injected under the client’s skin or applied topically into the patient’s facial skin after a micro-needling or microdermabrasion treatment. Once the PRP/PRF is applied onto the clients face or injected into the client’s skin, powerful enzymes are released that promote the healing of tissue. Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is second-generation PRP platelet, and leukocytes are present to accelerate the healing of soft and hard tissue.
